The Split Nut Insert is a wide range threaded insert, which provides an extra large blind side bearing area when placed.
Split Nut specifically designed for use in soft materials, plastics and composites. With up to twice the grip range of standard blind inserts the split rivet nut enables a reduction in the number of fasteners in an assembly.
The steel Split Nut from looks like and elongated flat head rivet nut, and it sets like a rivet nut with spin-pull tooling, but the differences in the method of setting. The Split into4 as it sets, leaving a wide clamp up tail formation and an insert thread.
Ideal for use in soft materials, compositesm composites and high density plastics, it combines a wide grip range with impressive maximum torque to bolt results. The Split Nut series is offered in M5, M6, and M8 and in two grip lengths.
