Product Description:
Standard Design
(DC38) Geared Stepper Motors Mech-Tex can offer various types of gear boxes to suit standard DC motors available in market. Some of the gear series which can be coupled to standard motors are shown in the table below. Also given below is the list of standard preferred DC motors and their specifications. There are various series of gearboxes that can be offered depending upon the motor speed and application. For further help on individual cases kindly contact our technical people, who will help you to select proper motor and gear box combinations. We export a wide range of motors like DC motors, geared motors, Geared stepper motors, DC geared motors, industrial geared motors, permanent magnet DC motors, high speed geared motors and more. Selection of the reduction ratio
The selection of the reduction ratio should be made according to the desired Gear Box revolution speed output, keeping in mind that this changes linearly in the DC motors as function of the applied load. To make it easier, for each type of motor a reference speed useful for this calculation should be known besides its nominal number and load speed.
When a 12 V DC Motor having no load speed of 2400 rpm is used to get suppose an output gear box speed of say 60 rpm then
Reduction ratio = Motor Speed
Desired o/p speed 2400 =
60 40(aprox)
The reduction ratio should be selected among the available ratios (shown for each gear boxes separately with their specifications) close as possible to the calculated ratio.
