the making of sleeves and liners begins with the foundry. The 8,704 square feet foundry shop at metallic enterprise has a medium frequency dual track induction furnace of 500 kw with two crucibles. This is fed with raw materials from the storehouse which stretches over 1550 sq. Ft. The furnace has an installed capacity to melt around 400 tons of metal per month. The capacity can further be enhanced. The molten metal is then ready to be cast further be enhanced. The molten is then ready to be cast in specific moulds. There are 100 centrifugal casting machines in the foundry shop, to produce extra fine balanced graphite structures.

Metallic Auto Liners' determination to grow at a rapid pace is unquestionable. When the company started operations in 1979, the casting capacity was only 50 tonnes. With the introduction of the induction channel type, the capacity increased to 150 tonnes. Now, by using US-based company Inductotherm's medium-frequency double-track induction furnace, Metallic Auto Liners has increased its melting capacity to nearly 400 tons. The three-shift coating production capacity reaches a maximum of 2,250 units per day. The credit for this is largely due to the expansion and upgradation of the company workshop with world class machinery along with quality inspections to ensure excellence in standards meeting customer specifications.
