Honda Bike Disc Plate:
The clutch disc and friction plates help to disconnect the engine power during changing of gears, also it helps to synchronize the engine speed with vehicle speed to transfer the power.
Materials:
- Steel, Aluminium, Carbon Composites.
Disc Plates:
- Standard Rotors.
- Semi-Metallic Rotors
- Floating Rotors
Carburettor:
The carburettor is a component of the fuel system in petrol engines. It mixes air and fuel in a precise stoichiometric ratio and delivers the air-fuel mixture to the engine. The device is controlled by a hand throttle cable.
Components:
- Float Chamber:
- Maintains a constant fuel level for the carburettor's operation.
- Venturi:
- A narrow section within the carburettor that increases the speed of the air passing through, creating a vacuum that draws fuel into the air stream.
- Jets:
- Small openings that control the amount of fuel delivered to the airstream. Common types include main jets, idle jets, and power jets.
- Throttle Valve:
- Regulates the airflow into the engine, controlling the engine speed and power output.
- Choke:
- A device used to restrict airflow during cold starts, enriching the fuel mixture for easier starting.
Types of carburettor:
- Single-Barrel Carburettor
- Multiple-Barrel Carburettor
- Downdraft Carburettor
- Side-Draft Carburettor
Engine valve springs:
Engine valve springs are important components in an internal combustion engine that play a most important role in the operation of the engine's valve train. They are responsible for controlling the opening and closing of the engine valves, ensuring proper airflow into and out of the combustion chamber
These springs are fitted on engine cylinder head valves, supporting the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves.
Generally, these springs are closed coiled springs, which the stiffness is a critical parameter to define it. The another main function of this spring is to hold the valve retainer and seal along with the engine valves.
Types of Valve Springs:
- Single Valve Springs
- Dual Valve Springs
- Beehive Springs
Brake shoes:
An arc shaped metal pieces lined with heat resistance fibre. When forced against the brake drum, stops wheel rotation.
There are 2 types of brake shoes. They are fixed cam and floating cam brakes.
Fixed Cam Brake:
Fixed Cam Brake in which the expander mechanism requires the two shoesto have equal movements to do the same amount of work. However, it does not exert equal loading on the leading andtrailing shoes because of their self-energizing and non-self-energizing tendencies respectively.
Floating Cam Brake:
Floating Cam Brake in which the expander mechanismdoes exert equal loading on thetwo shoes but permits them unequal movements. This allowsthe self-energizing leading shoe to follow its natural tendency and do more work than the trailing shoe, but at theexpense of greater lining wear.
Head light cover:
The purpose of this head light cover is protecting the headlight and its internal electrical connections.
Indicator Light:
The function of these indicator lights, or signal lights, is to provide visual signals to other drivers when the vehicle is turning or changing lanes to the right or left.
Cam Shaft:
The shaft which has a series of cam lobes for operating the inlet and exhaust valve mechanism driven by gears, sprockets and chain from the engine crankshaft.
Types of Cam Shaft:
- Overhead Camshaft (OHC): Placed at the top of the cylinder head, directly above the valves.
- Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC): Contains one camshaft for both intake and exhaust valves.
- Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC): Consist of two camshafts, one for intake and one for exhaust, allowing for better performance and more precise control of valve timing.
Spark Plug:
spark plug is to create a spark that ignites the air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber, initiating the combustion process that powers the engine and it’s fitted on the cylinder head.
Components:
- Electrode: The central component where the spark occurs. It consists of a center electrode and a ground electrode. The gap between these electrodes is critical for spark generation.
- Insulator: Surrounds the central electrode and prevents electrical leakage. It also helps withstand high temperatures and pressures.
- Shell: The outer part of the spark plug which is made of steel to provides structural strength.
Silencer Ring:
The purpose of a silencer ring is to create an effective seal between the silencer and exhaust pipe, thereby preventing the escape of engine exhaust gases into the surrounding atmosphere.
Materials:
- Stainless steel, Aluminium, Mild Steel.
Types of silencer rings:
- Internal Silencer Rings: Located within the exhaust system, these rings are designed to reduce sound by creating turbulence that dissipates engine exhaust noise.
- External Silencer Rings: Located at the outside of the exhaust system and can enhance the aesthetic appeal which also providing sound dampening.
Crash Bar Set:
Crash bar set is to safeguard the vehicle from any damages and helps to reduces the risk of severe injuries and increases the rider's ability to maintain control in a crash.
Material:
- Steel
- Aluminium
- High Strength Polymer
Seat Catcher:
The seat catcher mechanism locks the rider's seat in place upon closure. Installed on the vehicle, it works against a spring to maintain the locked position.
Kick Boss Splendor:
This part is fitted onto the engine crank and requires the rider to kick it to initiate engine startup.
Speedometer Worm Set:
The purpose of this speedometer worm set is to transmit the motion between two non-intersecting nor parallel shaft. Generally, this gear is fitted in the gearbox output and it called as speedo gears. This will help to measure the vehicle distance travelled.
Kick Welding Pin:
This part is fitted onto the engine crank to kicker.
Bajaj Engine Gear:
This engine gear is fitted in to the engine crank which gives drives to the rear wheel through sprocket and chain assembly.
Bike Stand Spring
Bike Stand Spring is a bike stand spring is to assist in the operation of the kickstand, allowing it to easily move up and down. When the kickstand is deployed, the spring helps hold it in place and retracts it when the bike is lifted off the ground.
The device is a mechanical assembly that incorporates an elastic torsion spring. The Stainless-Steel Bike Stand Spring effectively moderates impact and vibration while precisely controlling mechanical movement.
Most of the bike stand springs are coiled and made of durable metal, designed to withstand repeated use and tension.
