SAAB Engineering was established in 1986 by Ajay Balagopal with conventional lathe and second operation capstan lathe. After completing his engineering in metallurgy at PSG Tech Coimbatore and working with Ms. Tafe and Ms. Billforge Pvt. Ltd. Sir. Sanjeev Balagopal joined Saab Engineering in 1992. The company grew rapidly and was one of the first in the small scale sector to adopt CNC lathes. SAAB Engineering along with its sister company Savin CNC Engineering is one of the leading CNC shops and manufacturing units in 5748 with four facilities at Bommasandra and Jigani.In 2002, Saab Engineering established its own cold forging unit at Bommasandra to meet the growing demand for forged and machined components. SAAB Engineering has its own Sealed Quench Furnace department at UNIT3. This department also has pit-type furnaces for annealing components prior to cold forging.We are an ISO/TS16949 certified company. We have a very strong quality assurance department. Our greatest strength is our state-of-the-art standard room with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), Roundness Tester, Gear Testing Machine, Profile Projector with DRO, Magnaflux Magnetic Particle Tester / Crack Detector, Dynamic Balancing Machine etc. This ensures that the customer is sure to receive a high quality product from Saab Engineering and its affiliate group, Sevin CNC Engineering.
