Established in 1977, Excel Industrial Gears Pvt Ltd started manufacturing PIV with a tie up with Stone Wallworks UK. Being the original developer of PIV Transmission, PIV Chain and other mechanical variators as part of mechanical power transmission products. We are the leading manufacturer and supplier of Cane Conveyor Chain, Lift Chain, Bagasse Conveyor Chain etc. All critical components were originally imported from the UK. Excel Industrial Gears (EIG) gradually started indigenizing components and now manufactures almost all PIV spare parts in-house. Including PIV service of practically all brands of variable speed drives of German, French, American and Czech origin. However, for some prestigious projects, Excel mainly uses strings imported from the UK. Excel has also, during these years, developed its own innovations and technical improvements, in terms of performance, derived from over 25 years of experience in the preparation of PIV units. OEM customers include packaging, power and cable, glass, paper, textile machinery industries, steel plants, etc. Replacement and new requirements are regularly met from major thermal power plants, where many internationally manufactured PIV units with flanged motor and/or compound gear units are in operation.
